Shapes Little Book
Shapes Little Book uses everyday objects help toddler learn the core preschool concept of shapes. Each spread in the children’s book provides the basic description of a shape and then shows everyday items of that shape. By showing items that children see on a regular basis, the shapes can easily be reinforced by parents and caregivers. This is one way to help children observe and categorize what they see by shapes and colors, and this is a foundation for continued learning.
Everyday shapes help teach a key preschool topic!
Along with Opposite Little Book, this title helps toddlers with early learning concepts. For ECE, Head Start, and Resource and Referral Agencies, these children’s books can help families develop cognitive skills in their toddlers and support the work of Early Care and Education programs. © 2013
Shapes Little Book is part of the Little Book series. This popular series of children’s books encourages reading aloud while teaching the whole family healthy habits. Photos of children and engaging artwork appeal to toddlers. Lighthearted text, often in catchy rhymes, reinforces key health and child development messages to children and parents. Because children’s books get read over and over, the health messages stay front and center in the family. Agencies nationwide use these books to enhance their family engagement, parent education, reading promotion and nutrition education.
Little Books are printed on sturdy card stock, measure 5½ x 5½” and have 16 pages.
